This activity is optional depending on the agreed scope and approach in Focus And direction. Note that this activity assumes that the changes in the business process are in scope for the business analysis engagement. During the analysis phase additional options or opportunities may be identified and assessed as alternative options to the options identified earlier by the client. During the interaction with the business process owners and users during the previous activity, it is likely that process improvement options will pop up. Part of the Business Analysis is to capture and document these alternative options and to do a further assessment into the viability of these options.
